Oils designed to meet the lubrication requirements of steam, gas and water turbines.
The Castrol Perfecto T range of turbine oils is formulated from highly refined mineral base stocks together with rust and oxidation additives to extend their inherent oxidation stability and corrosion protection.
The Perfecto T range is primarily intended for the lubrication of steam turbines because of its resistance to foaming, demulsification performance and its air release properties. It can also be used in lightly loaded industrial gas turbines where anti wear performance is not required and turbo machinery where hydrodynamic lubrication prevails.
The Castrol Perfecto X turbine oil range of lubricants is based upon premium quality mineral oils enhanced with rust and oxidation inhibitors to give maximum protection at high temperatures.
Castrol Perfecto X grades are recommended for industrial gas turbines where the lubricant is likely to be exposed to very high localised temperatures. They are also suitable for the lubrication of steam turbines and Combined Cycle generating systems where the steam and gas turbines share a common supply. Castrol Perfecto X grades possess excellent air release performance, a high resistance to foaming and excellent water separation properties.
The Castrol Perfecto XEP range of turbine oils is formulated from severely hydro treated premium mineral base stocks together with a complex additive system to provide requisite anti wear performance and oxidative stability.
The Perfecto XEP range is primarily intended for the lubrication of highly loaded industrial gas turbines, aero derivative power turbines & driven machinery and turbo machinery where the lubricant is exposed to high local temperatures during operation and the heat soaking period during run down. The Perfecto XEP range possess the requisite air release, foaming and water separation properties for steam turbines making them suitable and compliant for gas and steam turbines in single train sharing a common oil reservoir.
