Alpha SP

Mineral oil based lubricant for industrial gears.
Good load carrying capacity, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, foam resistance, and wear protection with extreme pressure performance.
Meet the requirements of the DIN 51517 part 3 specification.

Optigear BM

For the lubrication of spur and bevel gear units, even under severe operating conditions. Can also be used for selected worm gear units, rolling and sliding bearings, gear couplings and circulating systems. The "Microflux Trans" additive system protects and improves the surface profile of gear teeth.
For the lubricaton of heavily loaded enclosed gears and bearings.

Alphasyn T

Alphasyn T grades have been formulated for use in most types of light to medium duty enclosed gear systems but should not be used for heavy / shock loaded systems. Alphasyn T is also suitable for the lubrication of bearings and circulatory systems operating at high temperatures and various high temperature applications such as in hydraulic systems and for the lubrication of large, slow moving gears.

Alphasyn PG

The Castrol Alphasyn PG gear oil range of synthetic lubricants are based on poly alkylene glycol (PAG) fluids enhanced with antioxidants, rust inhibitors and Extreme Pressure (EP) additives of high thermal stability.

Alphasyn PG gear oils are primarily intended for use in worm reduction gear boxes, where the low coefficient of friction of the PAG base fluid improves efficiency and consequently reduces power consumption and operating temperatures. This is particularly important in applications where sliding contact is high. The use of a PAG base stock provides inherently high Viscosity Index (VI) and low pour points making these products suitable for use over a wide temperature range.

Optigear Synthetic 800

Castrol Optigear Synthetic™ 800 Range (previously called Tribol™ 800) synthetic gear oils have been developed for the lubrication of heavily loaded gears, bushings and bearings which may operate over a broad range of temperatures from ambient to elevated temperatures (>80°C/176°F). They are particularly intended to extend the service life of both lubricant and machine parts where unusually high operating and oil reservoir temperatures are encountered. The high performance characteristics of Optigear Synthetic 800 are achieved with select polyalkyleneglycol (PAG) based synthetic fluids. They feature chemical and thermal stability, high viscosity index, water solubility, and compatibility with metals and elastomers most commonly used in machine construction. The naturally high resistance to oxidation of the synthetic based fluid is further enhanced by inhibitors. Corrosion protection is very effective even in the presence of water. Also, a package of high performance additives acts in combination for superior anti-wear and Extreme Pressure (EP)
performance.

Optigear Synthetic X

Castrol Optigear™ Synthetic X is based on synthetic hydrocarbons and Castrol's Microflux Trans (MFT) Plastic Deformation (PD) additive and surface improvement additive package. MFT PD helps improve lubricant performance when operating temperature and loads reach a certain level of activation energy, by enabling the micro-smoothing of surface roughness without increasing wear. The smoothed surface delivers optimum wear protection and an extremely low coefficient of friction, especially in applications which experience extreme pressure, shock loads, vibrations or low speeds. MFT PD helps to protect against scuffing and shock loading, while maintaining a high load carrying capacity, and can help prevent the progression of micro-pitting in pre-damaged gears.

Optigear Synthetic X may be used in spur gear, bevel gears or planetary gear units and in heavy loaded gear units, e.g. wind turbine main gears. It is also suitable for the lubrication of oil-lubricated rolling bearings.

Optileb GT

Optileb™ GT are gear oils with NSF H1 authorisation, especially developed to meet the special requirements of the food and beverage industries. They are based on synthetic oils and contain carefully selected additives to prevent wear, oxidation and corrosion. Optileb GT gear oils exceed the requirements of DIN 51517 part 3 CLP.
